Read This Before Having Botox or Fillers

Should We Be Regulated?

In the U.K. activists and industry professionals are lobbying for greater regulation. They feel these restrictions need to be tightened to protect patients from botched injections.

I wholeheartedly agree with this, there does need to be better regulation in the industry.  However I do feel the obligation comes down to the consumer – you. You are going to be the one who ultimately decides who is going to be responsible for your aesthetic treatments.

Buy Cheap Pay Twice

I hear stories all the time from patients, that tell me about someone they know or work with who has gone to some back street salon or someone’s house and had treatments done.  And oh you should see them, their lips are over inflated, their forehead looks so shiny, or it looks like they have too much done.

I understand that you are inundated by social media posts and videos, so sometimes it is difficult to make a well informed and an educated decision.

However I also know that as humans we instinctively know when something is too good to be true.  Cheap Botox is never good and good botox is never cheap. Fillers and Botox are an investment because it takes many years to get the necessary training to administer them with the lowest chance of potentially fatal complications. They’re too risky for discount deals and absolutely too risky to try at home on yourself or on a friend.

You as a consumer know what you are doing.  If you have done any research you know that this procedure uses needles going into and under the skin.  If you have a needle being administered anywhere near your face – you are going to want to go to someone who has some knowledge about;

  • Firstly how to help with your concern
  • Secondly to provide a safe and natural result

Peace of Mind

You get what you pay for, and the piece of mind that you get from having a professional who has the knowledge and is going to be safe is really important, as it can cause serious damage in the wrong hands.

Find an injector you like and stick with them. Continue with someone who treats you kindly, knows your face, and will provide you with great results consistently.
