Profhilo is one of a kind product, offering multi-level dynamic bio remodelling by stimulating Fibroblasts, Keratinocytes and Adipocytes.
But why is this important? What do these cells do?
Our Fibroblasts are responsible for producing collagen and elastin which is vital for the strength, resilience and hydration of our skin.
It is what gives our skin the plumpness, firmness and tightness.
As we age these cells get lazy and slow down production of these crucial components of our skin, so if we can stimulate the fibroblasts to produce more collagen, more elastin, our skin will be super grateful.
Our Keratinocytes make up 90% of our skin cells in the epidermis, or outer layer of the skin, where it provides protection and forms a barrier against environmental damage.
The more keratinocytes are activated, not only will our skin be better protected from environmental damage, but it will serve to increase the synthesis of collagen and elastin.
Our Adipocytes are our fat cells, so Profhilo is perfect for preserving and encouraging the viability of these cells, especially for those who have compromised or lost their fat tissue leading to tissue laxity
Profhilo® is not a filler. It is a hydrator containing Hyaluronic Acid (a substance that is naturally occurring throughout the body and is responsible for maintaining moisture in the skin). It has been shown to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and is an ideal treatment for people who would like more plump and illuminous looking skin. As a result, Profhilo not only improves skin quality in terms of hydration and texture, but also successfully improves skin laxity.
Profhio is really appealing to our guests who want to improve the radiance of their skin and may not be ready for facial fillers or even muscle relaxants such as Botox. Owing to its characteristic of creating volume in the tissue where it’s needed, it is an ideal treatment for the face. It also works impressively in challenging areas, such as the neck, lined areas around the lips, the hands and the arms, where we don’t see the significant volume loss, but the skin has lost elasticity. I will see patients with artificially enhanced cheeks, which is a result of overfilling because the practitioner has attempted to remove the wrinkle ‘just doesn’t go away’. Profhilo has been really effective in correcting this concern.
The unique characteristics of Profhilo, is easily obtained in only two sessions, with a one month interval, injected in 5 specific points in the areas of concern. This will help to reduce the number of in clinic sessions; reduce the number of injection sites and there is reduced or eliminated down time, so you can go back to your normal routine after leaving the clinic.
After four weeks, patients experience improvement in lines and tightness of their skin. After eight weeks there is a definite lifting and tightening of the skin – it is more hydrated and appears more youthful and in better health. Some patients have reported an immediate improvement after treatment. Overall, patients can expect increased firmness, elasticity and an overall improved quality of skin, with the effects lasting up to six months.
