What is Profhilo?

Profhilo is not a mesotherapy product, neither is it a dermal filler. Profhilo is a stabilised hyaluronic acid (ha) without any additional chemical agents – the first injectable of its kind. Ha is our skin’s in-built moisturiser and yes, you guessed it, we lose it as we age. This could be appealing to our guests who want to improve the radiance of their skin but are wary of synthetic chemicals being used in injectable products.

Where Can it be Used?

Owing to its characteristic of creating volume in the tissue where it is needed, it is an ideal treatment for the face. It also works impressively in challenging areas, such as the neck, lined areas around the lips, the hands and the arms, where we do not see the significant volume loss, but skin has lost elasticity. I often see patients with artificially enhanced cheeks, which is a result of overfilling because the wrinkle ‘just doesn’t go away’. Profhilo has been very effective in correcting this concern.

What the Treatment Involves

Treatment is carried out using a specific technique called bap (bio aesthetic points). This involves only five painless injection points for each side of the face which are anatomically responsive areas. With an absence of large vessels and nerve branches, this will minimise the risks whilst maximising the diffusion of the product.

What Results to Expect

The unique characteristics of Profhilo, is easily obtained in only two sessions, with a one month interval, injected in 5 specific points in the areas of concern.
